‘A La Tardecer Con Las Oropendolas’ belongs to a série of dreamlike compositions with field
recordings mostly from nature recorded in Honduras during two travels there in 2012.

All sounds were field recorded on the North Coast of Honduras on 16 August 2012 in a wildlife refuge in the middle of mangroves (Refugio de Vida Silvestre Cuero y Salado) during sunset. Featuring Montezuma Oropendolas (Psarocolius Montezuma) with chicks.

Edited and composed at Studio No*Mad in Paris April 2017.

Text from the label description: An absolutely beautiful collaboration between Tomoko Sauvage and Frédéric Nogray. ‘Planetarium’ is an extract from a live recording featuring Tomoko on porcelain bowls, water and hydrophones and Frédéric on crystal singing bowls. It’s a deeply emotive and sentimental soundscape with staggered drones and orchestral movements. Flip over to the B side for ‘A La Tardecer Con Las Oropendolas’. Frédéric field recorded all sounds during sunset in a wildlife refuge on the north coast of Honduras. The piece features Montezuma Oropendolas and their hatchlings. The results are an immersive meditation. Go on, submerge yourself.
